Richard E. Grant Returns to Doctor Who
She’s cute.
That’s nice.
Let’s just hope they write her with some real dimension and give her an interesting angle. If it’s another OMGDOCTORURSOAMAZINGIMCREAMINGMYPANTIES type female character who has no other depth or quality then I’ll be a bit disappointed.
It’s no secret I’ve always been the biggest fan of Donna as a companion and it was because she challenged The Doctor so much, I’d like more of that please.
I don’t know but my first reaction was “huh, she reminds me of Ace.” Makes no sense but that was my genuine first reaction.
He wasn’t perfect. Drinking and swearing a lot. But guess what? He was there when Dean get back from Hell, he was there when Sam thought he couldn’t beat Lucifer, he was there when Castiel needed to talk. Nothing more, nothing else.
Bobby was there.
Maybe he’s dead, maybe he’s not.
But no one can take all those years away from him or from the boys.

I don’t claim to know more about this than you do but having seen all of New Who (save one Tennant special) and a good deal of classic Who as well, I have to say I don’t see it. What I see is a show that admittedly has a lot of death, but it seems to me that it’s fairly indifferent to racial make up. In fact when thinking of deaths on Doctor Who when reading this post I remembered a lot of gratuitous deaths of aliens (Played largely by White actors admittedly) and a lot of human deaths (also many white actors) I am not saying that there aren’t deaths of people of color on the show or that there aren’t “throw away” deaths of the same. I’m just saying that on the whole when I specifically searched my memory for deaths of people of color I could think only of heroic sacrifices and extremely moving scenes. So I can’t say that you’re wrong but I will say that that is not my experience
If I were dying and reminded of someone who died on my watch

Honestly it is amazing they haven’t killed themselves yet.

So I’ve nearly finished “Sick Day”
For those of you not in the know, “Sick Day” is an episode of “The Jethro Cane Adventures” a series of fic’s based upon the idea of Jethro as a companion of the Eleventh Doctor. That means that I will soon be sending it to Norwayhugger and we will argue over discuss what works and what doesn’t there will be editing revising and finally Norwayhugger will take my somewhat skeletal fic and flesh it out while hopefully keeping the razor sharp cheekbones intact.
This is our process and hopefully that means I’ll be able to get back to one of the other two episodes I have in progress.
